There have been numerous conflicting reports as to why Megan Fox isn't returning to Transformers. However, there's no need to worry about Fox's career. According to MTV, The 24-year-old has several films lined up. Fox is soon heading back to the big screen in next month's Jonah Hex. The film is Jimmy Hayward's adaptation of the DC comics series about a gunslinger (Josh Brolin) seeking vengeance on the man who killed his family. Fox plays Leila, a gun-carrying prostitute and confidant for Hex.

Fox has also finished a smaller-scale project called Passion Play. Fox will star as Lily, a caged circus freak with wings. Mickey Rourke also stars in the film. His character saves Lily from gangster Happy Shannon (Bill Murray), thus provoking a relationship with Lily. Another thriller is also in the works for Fox. She will star in The Crossing as a part of a couple returning from Mexico when their car is jacked and her husband kidnapped. Her character is forced to smuggle heroin in order to save her husband's life.

The most personal upcoming project for Fox is likely to be Fathom, which is based on the Aspen Comics series created by the late Michael Turner. The star has said that she has been a lifelong fan of Fathom and is really protective of the character.
