Megan Fox personal publicist told Moviefone.com that the rumours that Fox would star in the upcming reboot is "not true."

Recently it was rumoured Megan Fox has been offered the role of Red Sonja which Rose McGowan has been contracted for and even trained for the last few years.

When the rumours circulated a few days ago that Rose McGowan was being replaced by Megan Fox it seemed unlikley because Rose was contracted.

As Red Sonja and has even done some training for the role aswell as promoting the film at the 2008 Comic Con and releasing several posters of the film.

The film has had several delays including script rewrites, budget problems, and the lead actress having arm surgery because of a injury made years earlier.

My guess is that McGowan is still unsure about the status of the film when it was first announced that Rose would also star in Conan Rose responded "I don’t know what it means for Red Sonja. Time will tell. I will say that the Conan role was too good to pass up!"
