Style: Megan Fox does Armani

SHE could arguably have been the most overexposed actress last year, but that will not stop Megan Fox from pouting those lips this time for Italian fashion house Armani, where Fox is the new face for Emporio Armani Women’s Underwear and Armani Jeans, in their Spring Summer 2010 worldwide advertising campaigns.
Taking the throne away from Victoria Beckham, who previously modelled the underwear line with husband David, Fox’s first images show her sultry side in lacy underwear. The images are soft and sexy, more Calvin Klein than Dolce & Gabbana.
The advertising campaigns featuring the newly-engaged actress were shot on location in Los Angeles by renowned fashion photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. They will roll out in February, in fashion and lifestyle magazines worldwide and on billboards in major cities. Giorgio Armani was reported to have said: “Megan is young and sexy and has a lot of spirit. Emporio Armani Underwear and Armani Jeans are all about a youthful attitude, making her the perfect choice for the collections.
”Giorgio Armani also unveiled images of Cristiano Ronaldo (shot in Madrid) as the official worldwide testimonial for Emporio Armani Underwear and Armani Jeans, also by Alas and Piggott. Giorgio Armani said Cristiano is a great looking man with the perfect physique of an athlete. “For me, he is the essence of youth spontaneous, exciting, a real maverick. It is for his energy that I have chosen Cristiano for his youthful, exciting and yes, sexy, attitude.”Ronaldo, who plays for Spanish football club Real Madrid, said he is flattered to represent Armani.
“Giorgio Armani is a legend in the fashion world and I have long been a fan. I am very pleased with the pictures we have done together they are certainly striking and are full of an attitude and spirit that I can relate to.” The close union between Giorgio and soccer is well-documented. Over the years, he has dressed some of the world’s great players, including David Beckham, Ronaldo, Luis Figo, Thierry Henry, Christian Vieri, Fabio Cannavaro, Andriy Shevchenko and Kaka. Giorgio was the first fashion designer to select a soccer player as a testimonial when David James appeared in his Spring Summer 1996 Armani Jeans campaign. More images of Fox and Ronaldo are available on the official Facebook page.
